Background: Identification of Congenital Hypothyroidism (CH) is an essential part of Newborn Bloodspot Screening (NBS) in the UK. NBS for CH relies on Blood Spot (BS) Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) measurement in newborns on day 5 of life.
