Background: Congenital hyperinsulinism (CHI) is a rare disease affecting neonates, infants, and children. CHI is characterized by dysregulated insulin secretion resulting in severe recurrent hypoglycemia. Early treatment is necessary to limit the risk of neurologic and developmental sequelae.
