Background:Calcium-sensing receptors (CaSR) located on parathyroid glands and kidneys act to regulate serum calcium levels. Inherited hypocalciuric hypercalcaemia and autosomal dominant hypercalciuric hypocalcaemia are due to inactivating and activating CaSR mutations respectively.
