Background: Transient neonatal diabetes mellitus (TNDM) is a rare genetic β-cell dysfunction leading to hyperglycaemia that resolves in early childhood. About 80% of patients relapse during adolescence or adulthood. Some of these patients suffer from neurodevelopmental defect.
