Introduction: Apparent mineralocorticoid excess (AME) is rare cause of endocrine hypertension. 11 alpha hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase(HSD) type 2 enzyme metabolises cortisol to cortisone, thereby inhibiting cortisol acting at mineralocorticoid receptor(MR).
