Introduction: Mitotane is an adrenal-specific agent available for treatment of residual adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) after surgery, due to a specific, direct effect on adrenal cell mitochondria impairing adrenal steroidogenesis being associated with increased SHBG and modulates their disposal for target cell.
