After the evident socio-health transformation when facing intersexualities / entities with different sexual development (DSD), we wonder if clinical-care assistance has improved. Material and method Descriptive multicenter study by means of a retrospective review (2006-2019) of patients with a diagnosis of DSD in pediatric age. Interdisciplinary assessment through satisfaction surveys to families / patients.

Results: 67 patients were included. 27% were operated on, a total of 51 procedures, registering 18 complications. In the 22 cases with congenital adrenal hyperplasia, 16 procedures were performed, the majority (68%) for diagnostic purposes and 7 genitoplasties (32%). Median age of genitoplasties: 29 months, IQR 20.5-37 months. Registering 6 complications. 24 surveys were collected. Age Range: 1-20 Years, Fashion: 9-10 Years. Regarding the care process experienced, the information they had prior to diagnosis was nil-scarce in 87.5%. 75% and 54% consider the information received and the support in decision-making as good-excellent, respectively. Even so, the majority emotion was worry (62%) followed by fear or confusion. Evaluating the specialist teams, all classify endocrinology and surgical teams as good-excellent, as opposed to psychological assistance (55% bad-terrible and 45% good-excellent). Regarding the surgical result, 1/3 of patients / family declared it excellent and 1/3 acceptable. 50% were good-excellent according to the surgeon.

Conclusions: The post-surgical assessment is consistent according to the surgeon and family / patient. Major surgical procedures are scarce, the majority being procedures for diagnostic purposes. Genitoplasties have non-negligible complication rates. We advocate for psychological assistance as the main point of improvement.
