Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) is a complex genetic disorder which affects endocrine and neurological systems, metabolism and behaviour. In the neonatal period PWS is characterised by hypotonia, and resultant failure to thrive, whilst in childhood hyperphagia and obesity typically predominate.
