Background: Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS) is a rare autosomal-dominant disorder frequently caused by the serine-threonine-kinase-11(STK11) gene mutation and characterized by hamartomatous polyps throughout the gastrointestinal tract, mucocutaneous hyperpigmentation and predisposition to several malignancies.
